Launch of new family law resources for women in ASL

Join us, METRAC and FLEW: Family Law Education for Women at the launch of new family law resources for women in American Sign Language (ASL).

The Family Law Education for Women (FLEW) campaign is proud to present its newest family law information resources for Deaf women.
Two new videos presented in American Sign Language (ASL), with closed captioning, and dramatized scenes presented by Deaf actors, explain legal information about:
- Child Custody and Access
- the Victim/Witness Assistant Program (V/WAP), a support service for survivors of intimate partner assault, as they go through the criminal court system.
These videos aim to increase access to justice for Deaf women at times of family breakdown, by providing clear and accessible legal information, in a format chosen and guided by members of the Deaf community.
All are welcome to attend this celebratory event, view these resources often, and share them with your contacts.
Light refreshments will be served.
There will be English-ASL interpretation. Please feel free to let us know if you need any accommodation services, including attendant care.
